Key responsibilities:

I undertake research, teaching and consultancy in the areas of organisational studies and congregational studies.

Background and interests:

I have a particular interest in the local church, the local voluntary and community sector and the challenges faced by membership organisations. A guest lecturer at the London School of Economics and Fellow of the Wesley Centre, Oxford Brookes University; I am also co-chair of the British and Irish Association for Practical Theology and co-editor of ‘Studying Local Churches: A Handbook’ (SCM 2005). My current role is as Director of the Oxford Centre for Ecclesiology and Practical Theology
